3 Things Holding You Back From The Body You Want
Have you ever wanted to make a change to your health and body – but fell off in a matter of days or weeks ?
If so, why?
It may not be the workout plan – and it may not even be what you’re eating.
I’ve found that there’s a 3 very specific things that throw off 80% of the clients I’ve had – or at least have stopped them before I was able to help them make a change J
The 3 Things that will sabotage your results
#1 Your circle
A lot of the time when friends and family in our circle see us start to excel in some area or make a positive change – especially with our diet & exercise – it makes them uncomfortable if they’re not healthy themselves.
This can be a good friend, spouse or even group of peers.
It isn’t their fault – and it isn’t yours either.
People get uncomfortable when someone is stepping out of line and making a change, for better or worse. It creates fear in the back of their mind that they might lose you or not be good enough for you!
This happens in all areas of life – but especially with weight loss.
The Biggest Loser Contestants for example, have seen this firsthand as they’ve made such rapid, life changing moves.
If it isn’t your circle, it’s usually us!
We can be our own worst nightmare when it comes to reaching the health and physique of our dreams. Self-sabotage is common for men & women in all walks of life – ESPECIALLY when it comes to weight loss.
It comes down to changing habits and making small, incremental “tweaks” to the way we go about our day. If we let ourselves get in our own way ( which is VERY common) and give in to old habits of skipping workouts, indulging in sugar, flour, booze and/or overeating – then we will fall flat on our face!
This leads to #3 which is really the only way to make a permanent change.
Sure, we can lose weight in the short term, but there’s a secret to changing ourselves so that we don’t get in our own way.
#3 Going At It Alone
So many of the people I’ve had the pleasure of helping to positively change their lives for the better have first tried to do it alone.
Be it DVDs, joining a gym and doing classes or finding their way through the free weights and machines, I find this to be the least sustainable route.
You see, having a COACH and a support system will not only help you get there, but make sure you stick with it.
It’s like this – with a great coach the path is laid out for you.
Your coach will guide you through from start to finish, and make you stick to it. There will be no questions of “if” or “how” things will work out – just a matter of you showing up and getting the work done!
The other part of the equation is having a support group as peer support has a ton of strength in keeping your “stickability” with the program high.
Can you imagine having a team of coaches to lead and guide you along with a support group of people just like you, working towards similar goals?
This is exactly what we’ve cultivated here at Action Fitness, where Real Women get Real Results!
I did personal training for years – and as good as I was at coaching & motivating, nothing increases the speed and quality of results like having a support group!
Don’t wait another day and let these 3 things hold you back!
